Hallow Eve 2.0 - by Michael Wayne Phipps Jr. Released October 28, 2011 Thank you for trying Hallow Eve! Hallow Eve is my first work of interactive fiction. Release 1 of it placed last in the Spring Thing 2011 competition. This release was created to address many issues and bugs pointed out by critics. Some story text has been changed or added to correct grammar and to make things a bit more solid and enjoyable for the player. However, the pulp of the story has not been changed. This game does contain 'strong language' and the subject matter may not be for everyone. New to interactive fiction? See http://www.ifcomp.org/comp03/if.html for some basics on playing interactive fiction. For specific instructions on playing Hallow Eve, please see the Instructions.PDF file included in the .zip Walkthrough.txt included in the zip will show you step by step how to complete the game to the best ending. Tip 1: Avoid using punctuation when entering commands except for when attempting to use multiple commands at one time, especially when asking or telling. Tip 2: You may notice some text is in bold. Bolded text is either a topic for use with ask/tell or a hint at something important. CREDITS: - Story, programming, and cover art by Michael Wayne Phipps Jr. - Art in Instructions.PDF by Sam Kabo Ashwell. - Thanks to the creators and contributors of Inform. It has helped me make a game I've been wanting to create for over a decade a lot easier than with other non-IF languages. - Thanks to the regulars of IFmud for answering my questions. - Thanks to David Welbourn for adding my game (and many games by other authors) to the IFwiki. - Special thanks to my first play-tester, Irfon-Kim Ahmad. Without him, version 1.0 would have probably been a completely bug-filled mess. He was also the first to point me to the wonderful Inform language and the IF community in general, and for that I am very grateful. - Thanks to the excellent beta testers for 2.0, Keith Stewart and Jonathan Blask. - Thanks to the people who reviewed version 1.0 that gave me constructive criticism. * QUESTIONS?
